Well we are about halfway to feature complete for 2005. This year I was in charge of developing the web services and admin tools for the Tourney Pool Manager. I am happy to say they are finished! All we have left to do is add the polling service to the Tourney Pool Manager to complete the auto results updating feature.
The design of the polling service is very similar to Microsoft's implementation of database cache invalidation that is coming in .NET 2.0. It will poll our XML web services looking for changes. Once the service finds a change it will then call the methods to get changes in the results, teams, region names and pool configuration settings.
